Anxiety Online

You are exhausted from doing too much; on edge; overextended, and stressed.  You try to do everything right and no matter how hard you try, it’s never enough.  You find yourself questioning yourself, overthinking things, overbooking yourself, and struggling with life in general.  Your relationships are being affected.  Anxiety is controlling every thought, emotion, and act. You’ve lost yourself and you’re tired of being trapped in this anxious world.  Today was the last straw.  You almost got into an accident because your mind was somewhere else.  You wonder what life without anxiety would be like.

You try to calm yourself, but the stress and pressure impact your health, sleep, and relationships. Even your loved ones notice that you are not doing well. You hope to move forward from the past. You do not want to keep feeling this way.

Hi, I'm Liliana, an online anxiety therapist who speaks English and Spanish and is culturally responsive. I earned a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. Why Telehealth?

I have been conducting telehealth sessions across Santa Clara County, San Jose, Fremont, San Francisco, and throughout California since 2020. Online therapy works well for anxiety because you are in your own safe environment, control your privacy, and you don’t have the added stress of navigating traffic to get to an office. If you don’t have a safe environment, we will work together to see where you can feel safe as you participate in your therapy. My practice is safe for the immigrant and LGBTQ+ community.

In addition, I offer anxiety therapy in both English and Spanish. If you are an immigrant, who speaks Spanish, I want you to feel comfortable to express yourself in your native language.

How can you stop your anxiety?

You have probably been waiting a while to ask for help, hoping to manage your anxiety on your own. But it is time to stop waiting. You do not have to keep suffering.

When you visit me, you will have the opportunity to release your worries while finding your rhythm. When we work together, I often start by helping you map where you feel the anxiety in your body, not just thoughts. From there we might use EMDR or Brainspotting to get underneath the loop your nervous system is stuck in. For example, veterans might be anxious about navigating the civilian world or the world in general. Likewise, immigrants might be anxious about navigating the cultural pressure of trying to belong and stay true to their homeland’s cultures and values.

During your first session, we will review your intake forms, answer any questions you might have, and determine your goal. During our sessions, we will dive deep into focused work to help you find balance, all within a warm and supportive therapeutic environment. We will work together to find a motivating vision for you. We will meet every week to work on your goal. If you ever feel stuck, we will tap into your strengths to overcome obstacles and learn how to maintain progress in the long run. Through therapy, you will regain control of your life and live without anxiety controlling you.

How do my techniques help anxiety?

Anxiety can show up in many ways in our life. It can be daily stress, somatic anxiety in trauma survivors, health or life anxiety in older adults, acculturation stress in immigrants, relationship stress, or performance stress are just some of the examples that anxiety.

I follow your lead when I work with the anxiety that you are experiencing. I use ACT to help your anxiety by looking at your values, thoughts, and behavior and teach you techniques to be more in the present and manage your anxious thoughts. I use EMDR or Brainspotting to help my clients process the experiences that taught their nervous system that it had to be on guard.
