Hi, I'm Liliana, an online trauma therapist who speaks English and Spanish and is culturally responsive. I earned a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. I was licensed in 2020. My license number is 122378. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the Association of Contextual Behavioral Sciences (ACBS). If you are experiencing anxiety in your relationship, I have level 2 training in Developmental Model from the Couples Institute and Gottman model that can help you navigate your relationship.
I can support you if you want to improve your life instead of reliving your trauma and experiencing symptoms that are causing havoc in your life. I offer a safe and caring environment, especially since facing trauma can be scary and non-linear.
In therapy, I bring warmth, compassion, and humor. We move at your pace and you are always in control of what we address and when. How I work with trauma?
We'll work together to heal the trauma in your body, mind, and spirit. We'll meet weekly online with you in the comfort of your home or private space. We’ll set goals in a supportive environment in order to help you overcome obstacles and learn new skills. In therapy, you'll learn to take back control of your life and live up to your true potential.
We can find the best tool for you to heal. In addition to talk therapy, I am trained in ACT, EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, and CCTP therapy. All these modalities have been proven to work online. I follow your lead when I work with the trauma that you are experiencing.
I use EMDR and Brainspotting with clients who carry trauma in their bodies, not just their thoughts. These approaches work even when words aren’t enough yet. EMDR and Brainspotting have been proven successful when done online.
EMDR is recognized by the American Psychological Association and the VA as an evidence-based treatment for PTSD.
I use ACT to help your anxiety by looking at your values, thoughts, and behavior and teach you techniques to be more in the present and manage your anxious thoughts. I use EMDR or Brainspotting to help my clients process the experiences that taught their nervous system that it had to be on guard.
I use parts work techniques using IFS and CCTP, addressing the different parts of you that have been affected by the trauma.
If you are a veteran or immigrant, I can relate to your experience. I have worked with clients navigating intergenerational trauma, immigration-related loss, and military service experiences. I’m familiar with how cultural context shapes how trauma is held and expressed.
