Therapy for Veterans
Therapy for Veterans Online
In the military, you operated with confidence and purpose, executing your duties admirably for our country. You trusted your team. You had regulations and SOPs to guide you. Transitioning to civilian life presents a different terrain, one that may seem disorienting at first. The structured environment and clear directives you once knew are now replaced with ambiguity and uncertainty. Or you might be struggling with memories that haunt you. Despite your efforts to reintegrate or forget, you find yourself navigating a landscape where your experiences are not recognized, valued, or understood. Interactions with loved ones, once a source of comfort, might be highlighting the growing divide between the military and civilian worlds. New or old relationships fall apart. You feel like you are pushing away. You feel alone.
The military experience has taken a toll on your well-being. While the road ahead may be difficult at times, please know that you are not alone. Through perseverance and self-care, you can navigate this change and rediscover a sense of belonging and purpose in your civilian life.
Start Healing and Transitioning
First, I would like to thank you for the sacrifices that you have made for our country. I am a bilingual therapist and military veteran who helps veterans transition into civilian life and deal with any past traumas. As a veteran, I have insight into your military experience. Moreover, I speak military acronyms. You don’t have to explain yourself or the acronyms. I also speak Spanish if you prefer to do therapy in your first language.
You probably waited a long time to reach out - thinking things would eventually feel right again or judging yourself for needing help. The time for waiting is over. You don’t have to continue suffering by yourself anymore. You don’t have to be embarrassed about asking for help. I will not judge you. Together, we will work on whatever is haunting you and your next steps to feel whole again. Talk therapy is not the only solution. We can use ACT, EMDR, Brainspotting, or trauma-informed therapy.
